Living in the moment

I like to think BIG.  I like to have a PLAN.  I like to look ahead and see where the plan is going to get me.  I like making up the plan.  Dieting, potty training, traveling, growing my hair out, scrapbooking, painting the bathroom… etc. The problem with a PLAN is that usually it doesn’t happen the way I PLANNED it.  I tend to get frustrated and overwhelmed and give up, or have someone rupture his Achilles tendon ;-) or get stitches, or have two little monkeys empty their closet on to their bedroom floor and poop and pee in their big boy underwear so many times I could cry and I REALLY NEED A GIANT PINK COOKIE OR I WILL LOOSE MY MIND SO BAG THE DIET, before the PLANNED end result happens.  So today I’m making a new goal.  Living in the moment.  I know I will still have big ideas and make some plans to go along with them.  But I am going to try to enjoy the journey a little bit more. My mom regularly says “Life is what happens while you make other plans!”  How true! I’m going to make an effort to enjoy what happens! Because sometimes the UNplanned things are cool too!  Like all three kids sleeping in(amazing), Cooper high five–ing you after every sentence, Ellie walking all the way across the yard to get to the trampoline to jump by herself, and Chase coming in the office and saying ”I tode you I wont to hewp you!” I just need to pay attention to all of this and not get so caught up in the PLAN.  

So… that’s the plan!
