The battle of the binkie

I know I should be blogging about Christmas… and I will.  But today the battle of the binkie is on in our house.  Have I ever mentioned that we took the binkies away from Cooper and Chase in March 2010?  It went well we threw them in the garbage at Wal Mart and got the boys new bikes.  All is well… right?  Wrong.

It shouldn’t matter, right?  But now he doesn’t just suck he bites and he bites holes in them.  Last night we had no binkies that didn’t have holes in them.  Ellie was sick and wanted her binkie and every one I would give her she would cry and say “Boken”.  It was sad and I was mad!  We’re going on a family trip soon and I’m not going to punish all the people around us on the plane, but when we get back our home is going to become a binkie free zone!

PS I’m a horrible mother… right after I posted this Chase came in to me and said in the nicest, sweetest 3 year old voice ever “Mom, can I please have that damn binkie?”

Nice… apparently that’s what I say now. Mother of the year right here!

Christmas Jingle

12132010a 093

You know it’s all getting to you when you yell “WHAT IS WRONG WITH YOU?!?” while playing Candyland with your kid when he keeps putting the pieces in his mouth!

(Game Over… I put myself in time out!)

Loving the Holiday Season

familyshot4

We are loving this time of year!  Cooper and Chase are so into all of the traditions and love learning all the songs and stories of Christmas.  Ellie thinks she is as big as her brothers and joins in everything!  Children really do make everything more joyous and exciting during the Holidays!

Merry Christmas and Happy Holidays!

We went apple picking!  We had so much fun!  It was a perfect foggy fall day wandering up and down the rows of apple trees.  It was so peaceful and the kids loved just being able to run free!

We had a blast with Jeremy and Annisha and their kids!  We also got to visit the Grandpa’s and get early Christmas presents!  The boys got scooters and Ellie got a mini princess quad rider!  Spoiled! They love to visit the Grandpas!

We also went to the beach and let the kids play in the water for the first time! WOW!  FUN!  More on that later!

I did my first – maybe last ;) Triathlon with Troy and my brother Aaron! I finished and that’s about all that can be said for how I did.  However Aaron rocked it!(it was his first also) And Troy did awesome as well, especially since he is still recovering from the Achilles rupture. It is good to say I’ve done it, and maybe I’ll do one again someday.  It does keep you exercising and that is good.

All in all our Fall was great!
