Happy Thanksgiving

DSC_05390887 I was thinking back to the boys first Thanksgiving. We were with Troy’s family, his dad, grandparents and all of his siblings. What a blessing.

DSC_05730921 We didn’t know it would be the last one we had with Grandma Runnells. We will miss her this Holiday season. She hated having her picture taken, but I am SO glad we have them. I have so many things to be thankful for. My wonderful husband who loves me and supports me through the good, the bad and the smelly. 08242009 030

November?!?

Where did October go?

I wake up and another month is gone. I was thinking I’d do a quick recap, but I don’t even know what we did last month. It was just… I don’t even know. Troy traveled a lot and he also started his new calling as Young Mens President in our ward and it was just really busy. I think I was just keeping my head above water. But anyway… the kids are great and we did have a fun Halloween week. We went to a Halloween Party at the boys school that was great. We went to Boo at the Zoo and the boys practiced Trick or Treating. We went Trick or Treating at Troy’s office and the boys LOVED that! Then we had our annual Halloween Party at G Sharron & G John’s house with all the cousins. And then rounded it all out Trick or Treating in the neighborhood on Halloween. The boys definitely got the concept of Trick or Treat down and were so cute saying it! I love that they are talking so much. It is so funny to hear what they say! Right now they have learned "No Way!" and I hear that a lot!

091104 025 This is how I found Chase when I went in to get him up in the morning! And of course in our house EVERYTHING is monkey see monkey do! Truthfully I don’t know who did it first. My guess is that it was actually Cooper. But now it’s just a good way to pass time hanging out in the crib. I must say that I’m dreading the day they learn they can crawl out. Chase did fall out once. But he landed on his back and when I heard the thud I ran in the room and he was still just lying there stunned. (He hasn’t tried it again.)

The other new thing is new eating arrangements.

This is how we started.

Then they learned to scoot across the floor and food was everywhere! They could also get out of the seat belts and would climb out and try to switch seats. I was afraid we were going to have broken bones. So we tried this…

But then there was food in the cracks of the table and it was just a little too high. So we moved on to this.

And for now it’s working. For today anyway. Now I know why my mom was constantly saying “Quit kicking the counter!”

Ellie Bellie started eating food this month too! What a cutie!

I love it! She is sooooo fun to decorate! What a little munch!

We even went on our first Mother Daughter outing for Tea at Grand America. It was great!
